More English, More Speaking Time, More Support

The Intensive English Programme is designed for students who want more structured language-learning time and additional support with specific goals.

Alongside the standard English course, students receive 12 extra hours each week in a small-group setting. This creates more opportunities to speak, ask questions, receive feedback and focus on areas such as fluency, vocabulary, grammar or confidence.

The programme remains part of the wider Samiad summer-school experience, so students continue to join social activities, excursions and daily campus life.

Teaching & Curriculum

Teachers use a mix of conversation practice, project-based tasks, group work and focused language activities to keep the additional lessons practical and engaging.

Fluency & Conversation

Build speaking confidence, listening skills and the ability to respond naturally in everyday and academic situations.

Accuracy & Language Development

Strengthen grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation through targeted practice and teacher feedback.

Projects & Presentations

Use English to research, collaborate, solve problems and present ideas clearly to others. Teachers use a mix of conversation practice, project-based tasks, group work and focused language activities to keep the additional lessons practical and engaging.

What Students Will Learn

  • Communicate more confidently through additional speaking and listening practice.
  • Focus on individual language priorities with regular feedback and targeted support.
  • Apply English through projects, presentations, activities and real-world interaction.

Small-Group Intensive Sessions

More Individual Attention

Smaller sessions give teachers more time to identify needs, answer questions and provide useful feedback.

More Time to Speak

Students have more opportunities to practise, respond and build confidence without competing for classroom time.

Clear Learning Priorities

Lessons can focus more closely on fluency, accuracy, vocabulary, confidence or agreed language goals.

Exam Preparation & Individual Goals

Where appropriate, teachers may include exam-style activities or support students working towards IELTS, Cambridge English or other language goals.

This remains a broader intensive language programme rather than a guaranteed exam-preparation course. Families with a specific qualification target should discuss it with the admissions team before booking.

The current live page states that additional sessions are taught in groups of three or fewer. This should be confirmed for the 2026 programme before publication.

Are exam-preparation courses included?

What English levels can join?
